Containers Avion
La majorité du transport de fret aérien en Europe se fait grâce à des conteneurs et des palettes.
Ils obéissent à une règlementation très précise et sont identifiés grâce à des codes de l’Association internationale du transport aérien (IATA).
Les différentes palettes:
Les palettes pour le fret aérien sont des plateformes faites en alliages d’aluminium.
Elles ne sont pas en bois comme celles dédiées au transport routier.
Ces matériaux robustes sont plus sûrs pour le transport de fret par voie aérienne.
La cargaison est stockée sur la palette puis emballée à l’aide d’un film plastique ou d’un filet.
Les palettes les plus répandues pour l’expédition de fret aérien sont les palettes dites « 10 pieds », « 20 pieds » et « 30 pieds ».
Que sont les conteneurs d'air à dispositif de chargement unitaire (ULD) ?
Les unités de chargement unitaire (appelées ULD) sont des palettes de fret et des conteneurs spécialement conçus qui sont utilisés pour charger du fret, des bagages et du courrier dans les avions.
Ces dispositifs permettent de regrouper et d'attacher ensemble de grandes quantités de marchandises en toute sécurité sur 1 unité mobile, afin qu'elles puissent être transportées en toute sécurité et en toute sécurité.
L'Association du transport aérien international (IATA) est responsable de la publication des réglementations concernant l'utilisation des dispositifs de chargement unitaire.
Ils peuvent également être appelés palette de fret ou palette PMC.
